Appointments

Before booking an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our self-referrals page to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.

How to request an appointment

You can make an appointment in the following ways:

Type of appointments

Same day appointments

The practice operates a same day clinic for patients requiring urgent treatment. At the time of booking you will be asked to provide brief details of your problem so that the most appropriate clinician can be accessed. The aim is to ensure that all patients needing urgent treatment are seen on the day. Please be mindful that being an urgent clinic there is a possibility you may have a short wait.

Routine appointment for a new problem

A routine appointment with the doctor of your choice can be made up to four weeks in advance, subject to availability. Telephone 01508 520222 and select option 1.

The appointment is for 10 minutes; however, if you have several matters to discuss please ask for a double appointment.

Routine appointment for follow-up

The doctor will either book this during your consultation or you may be asked to report to reception. Please make sure that a follow-up appointment has been made before you leave the premises (subject to availability). Please see your usual doctor or the doctor you consulted with the problem.

Enhanced Access

Our practice is engaged in a pilot scheme providing improved access for patients, to a range of healthcare professionals. Working within a group of eight local practices, we offer a range of appointments each weekday evening between 18:30 and 20:00 and during selected times at weekends, to registered patients, in at least one of the participating practices. Please telephone the surgery for more details.

The practice is not contactable by telephone during this time.

Access is provided via an intercom system to those patients with a pre-booked appointment only.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible, in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Appointments cancelled within a minimum of one hours notice will be recorded as a did not attend.

Alternatively, you may telephone 01508 520222 and select option 0 to cancel. This facility is active 24 hours a day. You will be asked to leave your name, date of birth, appointment date and time and reason for cancellation.

When we are closed

If your call is made after 18:30 and before 08:00 including weekends and Bank Holidays, you will be asked to re dial 111.

111 is the non-emergency number to access Norfolk healthcare services when GP Practices are closed.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999.
