Letter to Patients

Dear Patient,

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we move over to our new computer system. We appreciate that at times the changes have caused frustration and confusion for all.

Unfortunately, some of the transition has not been as smooth as we believed it would be, and for that we are truly sorry.

We would like to take this opportunity to explain the changes for you in more details.

Due to increased workload within the dispensary team, we have had to undertake a review of our processes in order for us to be able to maintain our five days turn around. As a result of this the following changes have been made.

Medication Ordering

The dispensary team will no longer be able process automatic repeat prescription requests. Please can all patients ensure they order their repeat medication themselves, allowing a minimum of five working days for the request to be processed.

The options for ordering are as follows:

  • Drop your ticked repeat prescription slip into the post-box
  • Post your ticked repeat prescription slip into the practice
  • Order your medication online using SystmOnline, the Airmed app or the NHS app. In order to use one of these services you will firstly need to register for online services via our website www.loddondoctorssurgery.co.uk Once you have completed the required registration form you will be sent an email with your personal log-in details.

SMS Messages

Medication will be ready for collection five working days after the request. At present we will be unable to inform you when your medication is ready for collection. Instead, please collect from the surgery after five days.

Telephone Line

The dispensary does not take telephone requests for medication.
Our phonelines will be open each day between 10-12 to enable you to speak with a member of the team for any queries. Outside of these times if you have a query, please either leave a message or complete the prescription questions form on our website.

Opening Hours

The dispensary is open between the following hours:

  • 08:30-18:30 on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • 14:00-18:30 on a Wednesday

Please can we ask that you do not call reception with medication queries as the team will not be able to help you.
